Type: Gjellerup 662 (holo BO).
Stems elongated, flexuose, terete, 35 cm by 3.8 mm, internodes to 2.2 cm long, shorter in upper part. Leaf sheaths as long as the internodes, densely covered with appressed blackish hairs. Leaves patent to widely patent, lanceolate to linear, 2-3.5 by 0.5-0.9 cm, coriaceous, especially near the margins with sparse appressed dark brown hairs, apex strongly unequally bidentate. Inflorescences laterally from the stems; peduncle 0.25 cm long; rachis 0.6 cm long, flexuose, usually 2-flowered. Pedicel 1 cm long; ovary 0.6 cm long. Flowers nodding, c. 1.8 cm long. Dorsal sepal 0.88 cm by 4.8 mm; mentum oblong-conical, 0.6 cm long, obtuse. Petals 0.98 cm by 2.5 mm. Lip 3-lobed, when flattened 1.8 by 0.8 cm, at the base adnate to the column foot for 0.5 cm; midlobe 0.6 by 0.8 cm. Column 0.4 cm long; column-foot 1.15 cm long.

Habitat: Epiphyte in rainforest. Altitude 300 m.

Notes: Dendrobium striatiflorum should be compared with Dendrobium melanotrichum.
Cultivation: Warm growing epiphyte.
