Stems terete, 18-20 cm long, at the base for up to 5 cm covered with lanceolate, 1-3 cm long sheaths. Leaf coriaceous, linear-lanceolate, subacute, 13-14 by 0.4-0.5 cm. Floral head oblong, 0.7-0.8 cm long with several lanceolate, acuminate, ribbed scales. Flowers glabrous. Sepals free. Median sepal linear-oblong, 0.3 cm long. Lateral sepals broadly lanceolate, acute or subacute, wider; mentum elongated, saccate, thick, obtuse, 0.3 cm long. Petals linear, narrow, acuminate, almost as long as the sepals. Lip oblong, shorter than the sepals, with raised, thin margins, at the apex linguiform, carnose. Column short, arms thin, porrect, large, oblong, obliquely truncate, rigid, indistinct. Anther ovate, orbicular, with an indistinct crest. (After Ridley, 1916).
