Small, 2.5 cm high terrestrial. Tuber not seen. Stem 1.4 cm long, 3-sided. Cataphyll tubular, 0.6 cm long, long-aristate, glabrous. Leaves narrowly ovate, 2.5 by 1.4 cm, subcaudate, at the base cordate, mid-rib somewhat raised on either side, on underside winged mainly in the basal part, basal nerves 2 on either side of mid-rib, both reaching apical part of the leaf-blade, cross-veins 6 or 7 on either side of mid-rib, branched or unbranched, connate to inner basal nerve, margin slightly wavy; pellucid lenticels none. Pedicel none. Floral bract linear, 0.75 cm long, caudate-filiform in apical part, glabrous. Ovary obliquely ellipsoid, 0.3 by 0.08 cm, winged, glabrous. Median sepal from a narrow base curving and spathulate-cucullate widened towards apical part, 1.8 by 0.4 cm, acute and aristate, awn 0.2 cm long, 3-nerved at the base, many-nerved at tip, margin crenulate-erose in apical part only, glabrous. Lateral sepals linear, 2.5 cm long, filiform in apical part. Petals 2.5 cm long, at the base somewhat widened, filiform in apical part. Lip from a curved, tubular, 1.5 cm long basal part abruptly curved downward and widening into a suborbicular, 1.2 cm wide blade; margin coarsely dentate mainly in apical part, 3-nerved at the base, many-nerved near margin, glabrous; spurs narrowly conoid, 0.25-0.3 cm long, obtuse. Colours: Leaves deep green, more or less suffused pale brown towards margin, very finely reticulate glistening white, underside pale greenish with lilac reticulation. Median sepal white with red tip, veined red. Lateral sepals red. Petals crimson with white base. Lip white, veined crimson in lower half and with a broad marginal crimson band, with a large deep crimson blotch in lower 2/3, spurs whitish suffused with red.
Habitat: Terrestrial. Altitude 1220 m.
