Differs from the typical form in the lip which is quite similar to the petals, entire and without callus, in the footless column having a swelling in front below the stigma. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)
Colours: Not recorded. Probably the same as the typical variety.
Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1200 m.
Flowering time in the wild: May.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
