Epiphyte. Stems slender, sparsely branching, laxly-subdensely leafy, 10-40 cm long, 0.1-0.2 cm diam. Leaf-sheaths concealing stem, verrucose, truncate at apex opposite leaf base. Leaves patent, lanceolate, unequally subacutely bilobed, coriaceous, 1.7-4.5 by 0.3-0.9 cm. Inflorescence terminal, globose, many-flowered, 1-2 cm diam., subtended by foliaceous sheaths. Median sepal oblong, obtuse, 0.9-1 by 0.4 cm. Lateral sepals ovate-oblong, subacute, connate in the basal half and enclosing the spur, 1 by 0.45 cm. Petals narrowly elliptic, obtuse, 0.8 by 0.35 cm. Lip blade subquadrate, obtuse, 0.2-0.25 by 0.3-0.35 cm; spur oblongoid, obtuse, 0.25-0.3 cm long, 0.15-0.2 cm diam. Column incurved, 0.2-0.25 cm long, each side with a quadrate, apically denticulate wing. (After Ormerod, 1996).
Colours: Flowers white, lip apex rose, anther maroon.
Habitat: Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 2000 m.
Flowering time in the wild: October.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea), Solomon Is., Vanuatu.
