Differs from the typical form in that the spur of the lip is more rounded and the clinandrium less deeply notched. (After Smith, 1929)

Habitat: Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 2500-3100 m.

Flowering time in the wild: October.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
