Rhizome elongated, pendulous, flexuose, c. 10 cm long; covered with remaining fibres of the sheaths. Pseudobulbs c. 1-1.3 cm apart, almost entirely adnate to the rhizome, subcylindric, thin, 0.7-1.2 by 0.14 cm; free part of apex 0.1-0.2 cm long; 1-leaved. Leaf linear-lanceolate, subobtuse, shortly subulate-acuminate, c. 2.75-4. 1 by 0.4-0.65 cm; base narrowed; midrib above grooved. Inflorescences fascicled, short, 1-flowered; peduncle thin 0.3 cm long, covered by small, tubular, thinly membranous sheaths. Floral bract infundibuliform-tubular, acuminate, above keeled, thinly membranous, 0.16 cm long. Flower very small, 0.85 cm wide. Median sepal horizontal, concave, oblong, 3-nerved, 0.55 by 0.25 cm; apex recurved-apiculate. Lateral sepals widely patent, convex, obliquely oblongtriangular, acutely acuminate, 3-nerved, 0.65 by 0.28 wide; apex recurved. Petals very small, oblique, obtusely angled, slightly falcate, acute, somewhat erose, 1-nerved, 0.2 by 0.13 cm above the base; base dilated, narrowly triangular-narrowed. Lip mobile, porrect, 3-lobed, subovate-oblong, fleshy, 0.33 cm long; lateral lobes erect, nearly semiorbicular, fleshy, inside convex, glabrous, at the base 0.14 cm wide; mid-lobe 0.18 by 0.16 cm, with recurved apex; underneath convex, long villose; upper side obtuse, glabrous. Column rather slender, straight, 0.23 cm long; stelidia elongated much longer than the anther, filiform-subulate, slightly falcate. Anther very small, cucullate, oblong-quadrangular, c. 0-06 cm long; base retuse; apex rounded-extended; connective thickened.; stigma longitudinal, oblong; column-foot making a wide angle with the ovary, straight, its apex on either side dilated in a small, slightly incurved lobule, 0.13 cm long. Ovary 6-grooved, 0.1 cm long; including the pedicel 0.3 cm long sparsely and finely blackish brown punctate. (After Smith, 1913)

Colours: Flower yellow with red veins. Ovary blackish brown punctuate.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 900-1200 m.

Flowering time in the wild: March, May.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
