Epiphyte, pendulous, c. 20 cm long. Rhizome elongated, stem-like, terete, 0.2 cm diam., entirely covered with pale striate-nerved sheaths. Pseudobulbs c. 1 cm apart, elliptic-cylindrical, 0.5-0.7 by 0.3-0.4 cm near the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf sessile, ovate or elliptic, subacute, fleshy-coriaceous, 4-5 by 3-3.3 cm below the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, solitary, short; peduncle very short, with a few peduncle-scales. Floral bracts deltoid-ovate, much shorter than the shortly pedicellate ovary. Flower in the section medium sized. Sepals elliptic, apiculate, glabrous, 0.7 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals transverse, flabellate-digitate, 0.2 cm wide at the base, including the 0.3 cm long appendages 0.4 cm long; apex with 3 very narrow and shortly stalked, subulate, minutely papillose appendages, in the middle with 3 narrower, subsessile appendages; at the base and just above the base provided with a solitary, subulate, minutely papillose, thinly stalked appendage which is very similar to the apical ones. Lip fleshy, ovate, 0.23 cm long, subacute; base high rounded-auriculate; above the base contracted; upper side verruculose. Column short, 0.18 cm long, rather thick; stelidia short, apiculate; column-foot rather long, somewhat incurved. Ovary shortly pedicellate, somewhat clavate, glabrous, 0.9 cm long. Colours: Flower apparently dark red with dark grey-green appendages to the petals.

Habitat: Epiphyte.
