Slender, erect or ascending, 10 cm tall. Rhizome very short, roots filiform, flexuose. Stems almost all branched, thin, leafy, entirely covered with leaf-sheaths. Leaves erect or horizontally patent, filiform, glabrous, rather obtuse, 0.7-1.7 by 0.02-0.05 cm; sheaths very tightly clasping, nerves few, raised, apically ciliate with a few marginal, subulate setae. Flowers single, glabrous. Spathe cucullate-clasping, broadly elliptic, apiculate. Floral bract hyaline, similar to the spathe but smaller. Sepals lanceolate, apiculate, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals falcate. Petals broadly elliptic, apiculate, as long as the sepals. Lip blade broadly ovate, abruptly narrowed in the obtuse apex, 0.3 cm long and wide; spur very short. Column short, glabrous, clinandrium apiculate. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.03 cm long. (After Gilli, 1983).

Habitat: Probably epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 2950 m.
Flowering time in the wild: February.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
Distribution in New Guinea: Papua New Guinea.
Cultivation: Probably cool growing epiphyte.
Note: The genus Glossorhyncha is here considered to be a synonym of Glomera. For the present species a name under Glomera is not yet available; it may be a species already described under a different name.
