Leaf narrowly lanceolate, acute, thick fleshy, c. 12 by 1.7 cm; base narrowed into a petiole; above on either side of the longitudinal groove convex. Inflorescence 1-flowered. Flower rather large. Median sepal ovate-lanceolate, gradually acuminate, conical-apiculate, concave, finely ciliate, subquinquenerved, c. 1.75 by 0.58 cm. Lateral sepals decurrent on the column-foot, obliquely ovate-lanceolate, gradually acuminate, conical-apiculate, porrect, horizontal, 5-nerved, c. 2.2 by 0.68 cm; in basal part cohering and concave; larger top parts free and convex; inside papillose. Petals minute, triangular, acute, 1-nerved, 0.27 by 0.18 cm; margins clavate ciliate; inside papillose. Lip mobile, small, slightly curved, fleshy, 0.33 cm long; basal lobes 2, erect, rounded, between them with a stout, in front decurrent rib which does not reach the apex of the lip; apex with a small rib. Column hardly curved, on either side with a longitudinal rib, 0.43 cm long; stelidia subulate, about as long as the anther; stigma longitudinal, oblong; column-foot making an obtuse angle with the ovary, slightly incurved, below the stigma with a callus, 0.26 cm long. Anther cucullate, in outline ovate, extended in a large, elliptic broadly obtuse, underneath concave apical appendage, in total 0.13 cm long. Ovary 6-grooved, c. 1.1 cm long; pedicel c. 7 cm long. Colours: Lateral sepals striped blackish yellow. Lip blackish brown. Column green.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 820-900 m.
Flowering time in the wild: January, October.
