Rhizome creeping; sheaths rather large, soon disintegrating remaining fibres to c. 1.5 cm long. Roots numerous thin. Pseudobulbs close together, arranged in rows, ascending, when dried strongly subquinquangular with the sides hollow, c. 1.3-1.q. cm long; 1-leaved. Leaf lanceolatelinear, frequently more or less falcatulum, narrowed to the apex, acute, margins base when dried revolute; midrib dorsally prominent, papery to thinly coriaceous, c. 8.515.5 by 0.7-1.1 cm. Inflorescences a rhizome, fascicled, 1-flowered; peduncle thin, 0.65 cm long. Floral bract narrowly tubular-funnel-shaped, keeled, laterally compressed-apiculate, 0.38 cm long. Flower 1.3 by 1 cm, with widely patent sepals. Median sepal erect, concave, oblong, 0.78 by 0.27 cm; base slightly contracted; apex slightly recurved, narrowed, subobtuse, shortly laterally compressed-apiculate, 3-nerved, nerves dorsally slightly raised. Lateral sepals slightly falcate-decurved, obliquely oblong, apiculate-acuminate, convex, 0.85 by almost 0.3 cm; front margin very narrowly incurved;apex channelled; 3-nerved, nerves dorsally slightly raised. Petals very small, porrect, parallel, vertical, obliquely oblong, to the apex somewhat dilated, somewhat minutely erose, 1-nerved, almost 0.3 by slightly more than 0.1 cm; apex rounded to broadly obtuse. Lip mobile, slightly recurved, fleshy, ligulate, weakly 3-lobed, from above oblong-linear, 0.45 by 0.13 cm; base channelled, with erect lateral lobes, the 2 dorsally contiguous keels covering a small channel; underneath longitudinally channelled; underneath and on the sides except the base and apex densely patent, rather shortly papillose-pilose; lateral lobes erect, rounded, margins especially in front papillose; mid-lobe porrect, linear-oblong, obtuse, 0.28 cm long; apex convex, excepted subplano transversely rugulose. Column 0.25 cm long; stelidia elongated, porrect, subulate, falcate, much longer than the anther; clinandrium convex, its apex triangular; stigma longitudinal, oblong, base of the column reaching; column-foot making an almost right angle with the ovary, slightly incurved, thick, oblong, slightly dilated at the apex, truncate, concave, slightly more than 0.13 cm long. Anther cucullate, in outline triangular-orbicular, 0.07 cm wide; base wide, retuse; margins very minutely serrulate; connective strongly gibbose-thickened, elongated beyond the apex, rounded-truncate, verruculose-papillose. Pollinia 4, laterally compressed; the outer ones nearly semiorbicular, outside convex; the inner ones much smaller. Ovary 6-grooved, almost 0.2 cm long; pedicel thin, terete, c. 1.45 cm long, 0.32 cm above the base articulate. (After Smith, 1935)
