Type: Werner 51 (holo B, lost)

Never formally described. According to Schlechter, 1911-1914: 382, closely related to Calanthe torricellensis but with larger flowers with a longer and more slender spur.

Colours: Leaves with dense yellow spots. Flower yellowish.

Habitat: Terrestrial in lower montane forest. Altitude 800-1100 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).

Cultivation: Intermediate growing terrestrial, keep in shade.
