Type: Schlechter 18171 (holo B, lost; iso AMES, BO, K, L)

Epiphyte, erect or ascending, shrubby, up to 40 cm high; stems more or less branched, leafy, somewhat compressed, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves ligulate, strongly unequally and obtuse bilobulate, glabrous, 5.5-9 cm long, near the middle 1.2-1.5 cm wide; sheaths closely appressed, 1.5-2.5 cm long, densely covered with large grain-like warts, apex with a short triangular tooth opposite the leaf, margins forming a strongly thickened verrucose ring; capitulum nodding, densely many-flowered, suborbicular, 2 cm diameter, enveloped with broad, apiculate sheaths. Flowers glabrous. Median sepal oblong, obtuse, almost 1 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, narrowly obtuse, connate up to below the apex, mentum short, obtuse. Petals obliquely ligulate, obtuse, somewhat shorter than the sepals. Lip elliptic, broadly obtuse, 0.3 cm long, spur subglobose, shorter and broader than the blade. Column very short, glabrous, clinandrium 3-lobed. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.7 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1200 m.
