Erect, branched, 7-24 cm high epiphytic herb. Stems terete, glabrous. Leaf patent, coriaceous, glabrous, ovate-lanceolate, 0.3-1.8 by 0.2-0.25 cm, obliquely and unequally 2-lobed at tip, both lobes rounded or truncate, mid-rib grooved above, slightly prominent below, on upper side with a prominent crest on either side of the groove of the mid-rib, margin irregularly scarious; sheaths scattered warty, tubular, 0.3-1 cm long, ribbed, along apical margin with 0.07-0.2 cm long bristles, each scattered papillate. Spathe very sparsely warty, obovoid, 0.65-0.7 by 0.35-0.45 cm, rounded and apiculate, many-ribbed. Floral bract without warts, shorter, acute and thinner than spathe, 3-nerved, mid-rib crested. Ovary obliquely clavate, 0.85 cm long, 6-winged in 3 pairs, glabrous. Median sepal papillate on outside at tip only, ovate-elliptic, 0.9-0.95 by 0.38-0.45 cm, rather obtuse, 6-nerved. Lateral sepals sparsely papillate on outside at tip only, free, obliquely ovate-oblong, 0.75-0.82 by 0.28-0.35 cm, subacute, at base only slightly obliquely widened, 3-nerved at base, 6-nerved in higher parts. Petals glabrous, elliptic-spathulate, 0.8 by 0.35 cm, rounded, 5-nerved. Lip adnate to base of column, free part glabrous, broadly ovate-triangular, 3-lobed, 0.35-0.45 by 0.75-0.8 cm, rounded, 5-nerved, mid-rib crested on inside, grooved on underside, groove extending over most of underside of spur; spur glabrous, clavate, 0.8 by 0.15 cm, obliquely truncate, 2-lobed, grooved on both sides. Column short and stout, curved, 0.25-0.28 cm long, clinandrium crenulate. Anther not seen. Capsule brown, ellipsoid, 0.8-1.1 by 0.3-0.35 cm, 6-ribbed, glabrous. (After Van Royen, 1979).
Colours: Flowers greenish white.
Habitat: Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 3100 m.
Flowering time in the wild: Not known
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).

Note: The genus Glossorhyncha is here considered to be a synonym of Glomera. For the present species a name under Glomera is not yet available; it may be a species already described under a different name.
