Epiphyte with stem-like, strongly flexuose, pendulous rhizome, to 30 cm long. Roots flexuose, filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs tightly adnate to and laxly spaced along the rhizome, depressed, subcylindrical, 1.5-2 cm apart, 0.5-0.7 by 0.15-0.2 cm. Leaf subpatent, elliptic or lanceolate-elliptic, acute, 1.3-2.5 by 0.3-0.8 cm. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, peduncle-scales inconspicuous. Floral bracts apiculate, shorter than the ovary. Flower erect-patent. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, long acuminate, 0.45 cm long. Lateral sepals falcate, lower margin finely ciliate. Petals obliquely lanceolate, elongate-strongly acuminate, almost as long as the sepals; margins sparsely ciliate. Lip very shortly clawed, rhombic-lanceolate, elongate-strongly acuminate, as long as the petals; margins slightly recurved; in apical half densely finely ciliate. Column short; stelidia falcate-subulate; column-foot somewhat decurved, forming a conical mentum with the lateral sepals. Anther high helmet shaped-cucullate; apical half puberulous. Colours: Flower rose-red, to the base white. Column white.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1300 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.
