Rhizome slender, branched, 4 cm long; sheaths thin, lanceolate, acuminate, falling off, 0.5 cm long. Pseudobulbs close together, ascending, cylindrical, 0.2 cm long; base dilated. Leaves grass-like, linear, flaccid, obtuse, 2.5 by 0.1 cm. Inflorescence filiform, 1-flowered, 2-2.5 cm long. Floral bract funnel-shaped; blade lanceolate, elongate, 0.2 cm long. Median sepal lanceolate, acuminate, acute, 0.7 by 0.1 cm. Lateral sepals lanceolate, oblong, 0.9 by 0.3 cm; base connate; top acute. Petals lanceolate, oblong, acute, 0.2 cm long. Lip with a short claw; blade fleshy, curved, tongue-shaped; apex decurved, acute, subterete; base winged, in the middle grooved. Column-foot moderately long, a third of the lenth of free top part of the column; stelidia erect, oblong, rounded. Anther pileiformis; apex obtuse, conical. Pedicel and ovary filiform, 0.7 cm long; ovary somewhat dilated. (After Ridley, 1916)

Colours: Sepals yellow, Petals at apex and midrib purple lip purple.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 759 m.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
