Type: Lam 692 (holo BO, spirit material)

Rhizome branched. Roots appressed, initially sheaths large, apiculate, prominently veined to 1.2 cm long covered with, part adsunt c. 8-10 cm long. Pseudobulbs base 0.8-09 cm apart, in the basal part adnate to the rhizome, apex slightly recurved, obliquely quadrangular, in front backque high channelled, 0.8-t by 0.2-0.3 cm. Leaf lanceolate, acute, sometimes obtuse, frequently apiculate; at the base sulcate -weakly contracted in a petiole, above on either side of the midrib above grooved, underneath obtuse prominent convex; underneath concave, acute margin, apex very minutely crenulate, fleshy-coriaceous, c. 4.2-6 by 0.8-0.98 cm. Inflorescences from the nodes of the rhizome, fascicled, short. Inflorescences 1-flowered, 0.3 cm long; base with a few small peduncle-scales tubular, acuminate membranous with. Floral bract infundibuliform-tubular, acuminate, apiculate, membranous, 0.35 cm long. Flower very small, 0.75 cm wide; sepals divergent. Median sepal ovate, long channelled-subulate-acuminate, concave, 3-nerved, in total 0.7 by 0.26 cm, apicule 0.15 cm long. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong-triangular, posterior margins rounded, channelled-subulateacuminate, convex, front margin narrowly incurved, 3-nerved, in total 0.75 by 0.25 cm, apicule 0.2 cm long. Petals very small, porrect, parallel, vertical, obliquely suboblong, broadly obtuse or retuse; base cuneate, slightly convex, 1-nerved, 0.2 cm long; slightly more than 0.1 cm. Lip ligament very small base somewhat dilated 3-nerveque inserted, mobile, slightly recurved, fleshy, tongue-shaped, narrowly oblong, obtuse; base channelled with lobes 2 erect rounded, above slightly convex; underneath convex with a small longitudinal channel; on either side side underneath except base long patent, pilose, 0.3 by 0.1 cm, with hairs 0.1 5 cm. Column short, dorsally convex, 0.15 cm long; apex aequilaterally trapezium-shaped truncate, filament short filiform; stelidia anther long surpassing, subulate-filiform, slightly falcate, posterior margins base with a tooth instructis. Anther cucullate; broadly subtriangular; connective strongly thickened convex base minutely2-lobed in front elongated slightly recurved thickly selliformi-, conduplicate, with the apex obliquely truncate, 0.05 cm long. Pollinia 4, laterally compressed, obliquely subobovate-triangular, lower margin straight, 0.03 cm long, inner ones much smaller than the outer ones and thinner textured.; stigma longitudinal, oblong-obovate; column-foot making a right angle with the ovary, almost straight, oblong, apex somewhat dilated and slightly obtuse trilobulus, channelled, rather thick, slightly more than 0.1 cm long. Ovary short, terete, 6-grooved, 0.08 cm long; pedicel aequithick, terete, 0.43 by 0.2 cm above the base articulate. (After Smith, 1929)

Colours: Sepals and petals hyaline light yellow, lip yellowish white, column yellow.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 10 m.

Flowering time in the wild: July.
