Pseudobulbs close together, obliquely ovoid, multi-grooved, c. 1.2 by 0.6 cm. Leaf lanceolate; base gradually narrowed, coriaceous, c. 7.25 by 1.65 cm; midrib above grooved, underneath thinly prominently. Inflorescences 1-flowered many, from the nodes of the rhizome, fascicled; peduncle short, 0.2 cm long, with small, tubular, membranous sheaths. Floral bract tubular, long subulate-acuminate. Flower very small. Median sepal linear-lanceolate, gradually acuminate, channelled-concave, 3-nerved, 0.7 by 0.14 cm. Lateral sepals 3-nerved, 0.25 by 0.23 cm; above the base obliquely ovate, concave; apex gradually long acuminate, acute, recurved; inside very thinly papillose-puberulous. Petals very small, parallel to the column, falcate, lanceolate, gradually narrowed to the apex, subacute, 1-nerved, 0.13 by 0.03 cm. Lip underneath on the basal part attached, immobile, elongate-sigmoid, very narrow, when not flattened 0.56 cm long; base obliquely truncate; basal part oblong, concave, 0.13 by 0.08 cm; underneath longitudinally grooved; apex to the top narrowed, margins of the groove on the underside raised above and warty; epichile in the basal part curved upwards, then obtusely recurved, somewhat wavy, linear, acute. Column curved, the apex 2-dentate, almost 0.2 cm long; clinandrium concave, denticulate-slightly wavy; stelidia obliquely quadrangular, apex 2-dentate, the upper tooth elongate subulate, falcate, the lower tooth very small.; stigma longitudinal, linear, lower margin thickened in a minute callus; column-foot short but distinct, making an obtuse angle with the ovary. Anther cucullate, laterally compressed, 0.05 cm long; connective strongly crested. Ovary 6-grooved, pedicellate, 0.4 cm long; sparsely furfuraceous-punctate, 0.15 cm above the base articulate. Colours: Leaves dull green. Flower light brown-red. Lip yellowish brown with yellow apex. Column deep yellow.

Habitat: Epiphyte in (swampy) lowland forest; 25-2250 m.

Flowering time in the wild: October.
