Basionym: Cirrhopetalum restrepia

Rhizome elongated, creeping, rooting. Pseudobulbs 0.6-0.9 cm apart, when dried elongated-petiole-like, 0.85-1 cm long; 1-leaved. Leaf oblong, subobovate, when dried coriaceous, in total 0.6-0.7 cm long; base acute gradually narrowed in a channelled, 0.7 by 1.35-2.2 cm big petiole; apex rounded. Inflorescence 1-flowered; peduncle filiform. Floral bract tubular, acute, keeled, 0.43 cm long. Median sepal erect, incurved, lanceolate, narrowed to the apex concave, nerves 3 especially dorsally to base slightly raised, c. 1.1 by 0.25 cm; apex strongly laterally compressed, ensiform, obtuse. Lateral sepals obliquely lanceolate, falcate, 3-nerved, in total c. 1.65 by 0.35 cm, 0.3 cm at the base; above the base slightly constricted; apex acute and extended in a fairly long, 0.5 cm long thread. Petals very small, porrect, parallel, appressed to the ovary, slightly convex, obliquely linear-lanceolate, 3-nerved, 0.5 by slightly more than 0.1 cm; apex slightly incurved, acute, subulate-apiculate. Lip small, mobile, fleshy, strongly recurved, from above narrowly ovate-triangular, glabrous, 0.23 by 0.15 cm; base truncate, the sides concave; apex narrowed, subacute; upper side almost flat, above the margins recurved, convex with an inconspicuous, longitudinal, wide, small channel; underneath keeled, keel towards the base triangular-dilated channelled. Column fairly long, straight, somewhat laterally compressed, 0.25 cm long; clinandrium hollow, its apex elongated, bidentate, the incisions rounded, separated by porrect, in outline triangular auricles with unequally acute bidentate apex with a long front tooth; stigma small, longitudinal, oblong; column-foot making an obtuse angle with the ovary and an acute angle with the column, its apex free, obtusely angled, slightly incurved, linear, channelled, 0.26 cm long. Anther cucullate, strongly laterally compressed, 0.1 cm long; thecae elliptic, slightly convex; connective strongly keeled, conduplicate, when seen from the side triangular with the apex truncate-conduplicate, the lateral lobes surpassing the thecas. Pollinia laterally compressed, in lateral view obliquely oblong-quadrangular, outside convex, 0.05 cm long. Ovary 6-grooved, furfuraceous-punctate, 0.3 cm long; pedicel terete, sparsely furfuraceous-punctate, c. 2.1 cm long, 0.43 cm above the base articulate. (After Smith, 1929)
