Rhizome short, branched. Pseudobulbs close together, ovoid, 1.5-2.5 cm long; initially enclosed by large sheaths; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, petiolate, oblong- or lanceolate-elliptic, acuminate, acute, 11-22.5 by 2.5-6 cm; petiole conduplicate-channelled, 2.5-4 cm long; midrib above grooved, below keeled. Inflorescences 1-flowered, numerous, from the nodes of the rhizome, fasciculate, short; base enclosed by close-set sheaths; peduncle c. 1.5 cm long; sheaths 2, funnel-shaped, obliquely truncate, acute, keeled, 0.5-0.6 cm long. Flower c. 1.4 cm long, outside minutely pitted. Median sepal ovate-lanceolate, acute, 1.23 by 0.4 cm; inside concave, outside convex. Lateral sepals somewhat obliquely triangular-lanceolate, subobtuse, sharply apiculate, convex, 1.4 by 0.45 cm; 5-nerved. Petals small, narrowly obovate-lanceolate, shortly acute, convex, 1-nerved, 0.3 by 0.07 cm. Lip mobile, very small, curved, 3-lobed, concave, fleshy, when spread 0.3 by 0.23 cm; underside papillose; lateral lobes erect, round; mid-lobe recurved, ovate-triangular, 0.14 by 0.1 cm, obtuse, especially to the apex finely ciliate, inside with 2 small ribs decurrent on the lateral lobes. Column rather slender, straight, 0.25 cm long; filament short; stelidia triangular, acute, shorter than the anther, concave; stigma deeply hollow, urn-shaped; column-foot at right angles to the ovary, somewhat incurved, with truncate apex, not swollen, 0.2 cm long. Anther hood-shaped, laterally compressed; connective crested-swollen; apex extended. Pollinia 4, pyriform, laterally compressed, inner ones very slender. Colours: Pedicel and bract whitish. Flowers orange-yellow with red-brown dots.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest.
