Epiphytic, leafless, very small; roots flattened, strongly flexuose, to 3 cm long, c. 0.1 cm wide. Inflorescence densely few-flowered, distichous, including the hair-like peduncle c. 1 cm long. Floral bracts minute, deltoid, much shorter than the ovary. Flowers minute, opening in succession, glabrous. Sepals oblong, obtuse, 0.13 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely ovate, obtuse, a little shorter than the sepals. Lip very broadly rhombic-elliptic, at the apex broadly obtuse, fleshy-swollen, as long as the petals, below the middle 0.1 cm wide; spur subglobose, obtuse, almost three times shorter than the lip-blade. Column very short, rather thick; rostellum short, bidentate. Ovary subsessile, glabrous, 0.13 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Colours: Flowers golden yellow.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 600 m.

Flowering time in the wild: July.
