Erect (?), branched, epiphytic herb, up to 20 cm (or more ?) high. Leaves patent, coriaceous, glabrous, ovate, 1.4-2.8 by 0.35-0.7 cm, subacute, mid-rib grooved above, bordered by a narrow ridge on either side, strongly prominent below, margin thin, irregularly erose; sheaths obovoid, compressed, 0.5-0.9 cm long, ribbed, scattered punctate-warty. Inflorescence about 8-flowered, erect. Spathes glabrous, elliptic-naviculate, 0.8 by 0.5 cm, obtuse, 7-nerved. Floral bracts glabrous, elliptic-ovate, 0.8 by 0.3 cm, obtuse, 7-nerved. Ovary glabrous, cylindrical-trigonous, 0.7 cm long. Median sepal subobliquely broadly oblong-ovate, 0.55 by 0.3 cm, obtuse, 3-nerved, with a few small warts at tip only, otherwise glabrous. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-triangular, 0.8 by 0.5 cm, frontal margins connate up to 3/4, 3-nerved, mid-rib crested at tip and surpassing sepal, with a few scattered warts at tip only; mentum oblong-conoid, 0.4 by 0.2 cm, rounded. Petals glabrous, obliquely spathulate, 0.45 by 0.2 cm, obtuse, 3-nerved. Lip glabrous, 0.6 by 0.4 cm, free part ovate-triangular, 0.25 by 0.2 cm, rather obtuse, 5-nerved; spur oblong, compressed, 0.4 by 0.2 cm, obtuse. Column short, 0.2 by 0.25 by 0.75 cm. Stelidia tooth-like, obtuse. Anther cucullate-kidney-shaped, 0.1 by 0.12 by 0.08 cm, connective umbonate at base, retuse at either end. Pollinia pyriform, 0.08 cm long. Capsule not seen. Colours: Flowers greenish white, lip with black tip.

Habitat: Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 3200 m.

Flowering time in the wild: Not known

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
