Epiphyte, erect, shrubby, branched, up to 60 cm high; rhizome very short, roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous; stems and branches somewhat compressed, leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves erect-patent, obliquely oblong-ligulate, glabrous, coriaceous, 1.7-3.5 cm long, below the middle 0.6-0.8 cm wide, apex unequally and obtusely bilobulate; sheaths closely appressed, 1-2.5 cm long, densely covered with very small warts, apical margin fimbriate-ciliate with several small setae. Flowers solitary at the apices of the branches, erect. Spathe cucullate-clasping, apiculate, outside minutely verruculose. Floral bract similar to the spathe but smaller and thinner. Sepals ligulate, minutely apiculate, outside sparsely punctate, 1.8 cm long. Lateral sepals at the base somewhat dilated along the front margin, decurrent. Petals sublinear-ligulate, apiculate, oblique, above the middle somewhat dilated along the front margin, glabrous, about as long as the sepals. Lip broadly rhombic, 0.7 cm long, near the middle 1 cm wide, obtuse, glabrous, margins clasping the column, with a median keel which is somewhat dilated towards the apex, spur cylindrical, obtuse, 1.6 cm long, appressed to the ovary. Column short, glabrous, clinandrium large, semiorbicular, apex obtusely 3-lobulate, column-foot well developed. Anther broadly cucullate, in front ascending, dorsally obtusely umbonate, glabrous. Pollinia semioblongoid, oblique, viscidium single, rounded, quite broad. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 1.6 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914, as Giulianettia viridis Schltr.)

Habitat: Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 2300 m.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
