Terrestrial, erect, slightly branched, gregariously growing, up to 50 cm high herb. Stems terete, glabrous. Leaves patent, subcoriaceous, glabrous, linear, ovately widened in basal part, 1-2.5 by 0.2-0.25 cm, unequally 2-lobed at tip, longer tip rounded, shorter one subacute in the apical leaves but obtuse in the lower ones, base petiole-like narrowed, mid-rib slightly grooved above, prominent below, lateral nerves 1 or 2 on either side of mid-rib, not visible above, slightly prominent below, margin wavy, thin, irregularly crenulate mainly in apical part; sheaths tubular, 1-1.8 cm long, slightly obliquely truncate and widened at tip, with rather numerous, slender, straight or flexuose, widely scattered papillate, 0.15-0.3 cm long bristles, many-ribbed, with scattered papillae mainly on the ribs. Spathe glabrous, widely obovoid-cylindrical, 0.8 by 0.5 cm, acuminate, strongly obliquely truncate at tip, 9-nerved, widely scattered warty mainly on the ribs. Floral bract similar to spathe but narrower, 1-nerved and less obliquely truncate at tip. Ovary glabrous, narrowly oblong-obovoid, 0.9 by 0.2 cm, 3-sided. Median sepal glabrous, oblong, 1.4 by 0.4 cm, subabruptly narrowed at tip and subacute, 3-nerved at base but 9-nerved in higher parts, margin crisped. Lateral sepals glabrous, free, falcate-oblong-ovate, 1-1.2 by 0.3-0.4 cm, subabruptly narrowed and apiculate at tip, 5-nerved, basal appendage boat-shaped, oblong, 0.2 by 0.2 cm, rounded. Petals glabrous, obliquely spathulate, 1.6 by 0.6 cm, apiculate, margin crinkled, 3-nerved at base, 9-nerved in upper parts. Lip adnate to column, free part ovate-orbicular, 0.4 by 0.3 cm, 3-lobed, 7-nerved, finely papillate on inside in an apical quadrangle, on underside with hairs in the same part; spur obliquely conoid, 0.3 by 0.2 cm, rounded, glabrous. Column short and curved, 0.2 by 0.2 cm, clinandrium dentate. Anther cucullate, 0.1 by 0.1 by 0.1 cm, rounded at tip, retuse at base, connective bigibbose. Pollinia 4, pyriform, 0.07 cm long. Habitat: Terrestrial in upper montane forest. Altitude 3440 m.
Flowering time in the wild: September.
