Epiphyte, very small . Rhizome pendulous, thin, rooting, to c. 6.5 cm long; basal part covered with tubular, membranous, somewhat shiny sheaths. Pseudobulbs fairly close together, patent, subcylindrical, thin, longitudinally ribbed, 0.6-0.8 by 0.07-0.1 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf linear-lanceolate, frequently more or less falcate, shortly acute, apiculate-acuminate, c. 1.7-2 by 0.33-0.35 cm; base somewhat narrowed and very shortly conduplicate; above convex with a longitudinal groove. Inflorescences 1-flowered, few, from the nodes of the rhizome, subfascicled; peduncle 0.3 cm long, covered with small membranous sheaths. Floral bract rather large, much longer than the ovary, acute, membranous, semitransparent, 0.23 cm long; base obliquely cup-shaped, ovate, concave; above keeled, at the apex the keel extending. Flower tender, very small. Median sepal lanceolate, acute, concave, in the middle convex, 3-nerved, 0.58 by 0.18 cm; apex swollen. Lateral sepals porrect, oblique, up to near the apex connate in an oblong-ovate, acute, bidentate, concave, with the apex thickened, 6-nerved, flattened synsepal 0.58 by 0.28 cm. Petals subparallel, somewhat sigmoid, obliquely lanceolate, gradually very acutely acuminate, in the basal part concave, above convex, 1-nerved, 0.44 by 0.1 cm. Lip mobile, erect, below the middle strongly recurved, narrow, basal part elliptic 0.13 by 0.08 cm, concave, ciliate, base deeply hollow; apical part linear, with strongly recurved margins, narrowly obtuse, with two ribs up to the apex, papillose, 0.17 by 0.03 cm. Column 0.1 cm long, clinandrium obliquely concave, filament incurved. Anther cucullate, almost round, 0.03 cm long, the connective strongly swollen. Rostellum porrect. Stigma longitudinal, oblong. Column-foot porrect, linear, 0.13 cm long, straight, apex truncate, with a small concavity. Ovary enclosed in the bract, 6-grooved, 0.07 cm long. (After Smith, 1916)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 700 m.

Flowering time in the wild: November.
