Rhizome creeping, terete, 0.2 cm; sheaths tubular; internodes shorter, soon disintegrating. Pseudobulbs c. 2-3 cm apart, obliquely oblong, unequally obtuse, quadrangular, c. 1.25-2 by 0.5-0.7 5 cm. Leaf lanceolate, obtuse, apiculate; base cuneate-narrowed; midrib above grooved. Inflorescences 1-flowered, from the nodes of the rhizome, fascicled; peduncle filiform, c. 2.1-3.5 cm long; in the basal part with few small, tubular sheaths. Floral bract tubular, subulate-apiculate, 0.23-0.25 cm long. Flower c. 1.15 cm wide. Median sepal ovate, obtuse, apiculate, convex, finely ciliate, 0.7 by 0.43 cm; base 5-nerved, above the base 7-nerved; inside puberulous. Lateral sepals divergent, obliquely ovate, very shortly acuminate, acute, 0.7 by 0.45 cm; upper margin rounded and at the base extended in a small, rounded auricle; inside especially near the top and along the lower margin papillose; above the base 7-nerved. Petals very small, concealing the column, obliquely oblong-elliptic, obtuse, especially the apex papillose-somewhat erose, 1-nerved, 0.25 by 0.16 cm. Lip mobile, wavy, in outline linear-oblong, 0.45 by 0.14 cm; lower part thick fleshy, 0.2 cm long; upper side with a small longitudinal channel delimited at the back by 2 strongly raised, rounded keels; underneath with 2 thick, contiguous cushions separated by a deep depression and in front extended in longitudinal, convex ribs; base on either side papillose; front part dorsally compressed, oblong, obtuse, pointed; margins on either side convex-thickened and median band above convex underneath somewhat concave. Column 0.15 cm long, with a transverse thickening below the stigma, the apex obtuse; stelidia somewhat longer than the anther, almost straight, subulate; stigma small, semiorbicular; column-foot making an obtuse angle with the ovary, in the basal part straight, broad, apex free, incurved, concave, on either side in a strongly dilated, triangular, obtuse, lobule, 0.15 cm long. Anther cucullate, ovate-cordate, the apex broadly extended, truncate, 0.06 cm long; connective convex. Pollinia 4; outer ones semiglobose, inner ones smaller. Ovary 6-grooved, 0.16 long; pedicel c. 2 cm long, 0.18-0.23 cm above the base articulate. Fruit oblong-fusiform, obtusely triangular, strongly 6-ribbed; keels alternating larger and smaller, all a small longitudinal channel duplicate, papillose-finely warty, c. 1.9 by 0.63 cm; pedicel with thickened apex, c. 2.9 cm long. Colours: Flower light brown. Lip brown-red.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 75-1000 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January, March.
