Epiphyte, slender. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs conical-cylindrical, 0.5-0.7 by 0.2-0.3 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblanceolate-ligulate, apiculate, glabrous, 2.5-6 by 0.5-1 cm above the middle; base gradually narrowed into a petiole. Inflorescence 1-flowered, c. 7 cm long, wiry, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts cucullate, almost 3 times shorter than the ovary. Flower not resupinated. Sepals lanceolate, acuminate, 1.7 cm long. Median sepal with sparsely finely ciliate margins. Lateral sepals oblique, glabrous, to below the apex with tightly connate margins. Petals obliquely broadly elliptic, subacute, on either side densely puberulous, 0.35 cm long. Lip lanceolate, acute, 0.55 cm long; base with 2 minute auricles; midrib keeled; margins long and densely ciliate. Column very short; stelidia rhombic-falcate, top apiculate, with a very small posterior tooth. Anther helmet shaped-cucullate, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, sessile, glabrous, 0.4 cm long. Colours: Flower golden yellow.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 900 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
