Epiphytic, very small, depressed, branched, to 25 cm long. Rhizome filiform, flexuose, stem-like; roots filiform, elongated, glabrous. Stems and branches densely leafy, filiform, flexuose, rooting, covered with the leaf-sheaths. Leaves subpatent, lanceolate or lanceolate-ligulate, glabrous, 0.4-0.6 cm long, at or below the middle 0.15-0.18 cm wide, apex oblique, aristate-acuminate. Inflorescence from the apices of the braches, short, apparently usually 1-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acute, shorter than the ovary. Sepals lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals falcate-oblique, at the base along the front margin dilated and connate; mentum short, semiglobose. Petals linear-ligulate, subacute, subfalcate, glabrous, a little shorter than the sepals. Lip panduriform, apiculate, in the middle strongly constricted, almost 0.4 cm long, above the base 0.2 cm, above the middle 0.23 cm wide, glabrous, in the basal fifth peltate. Column short; foot medium-sized; rostellum narrowly lanceolate, shortly notched, in front below the stigma with a bipartite scale. Ovary subsessile, covered with papillae-like, flexuose hairs. Fruit broadly ellipsoid, setose-papillose, c. 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Colours: Not known, possibly reddish (collected past anthesis).

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1200 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
