Type: Janowsky 210 (holo BO)

Rhizome creeping, dorsally compressed, with short internodes, 0.23 cm diam., covered with tubular, acute, keeled sheaths. Pseudobulbs 1.1-1.8 cm apart, very small, dorsally compressed, obliquely ovate, carnose, 0.8-1 cm long, 0.8-1.2 cm wide, 1-leaved, initially covered with conduplicate, acuminate, acute, keeled, to 5.25 cm long sheaths that increase in size upwards. Leaf erect, linear, 17.5-21 by 1.1 cm, acute, long apiculate, at the base conduplicate, keeled, above on either side convex, papyraceous; sheath conduplicate, 1.9-2.5 cm long. Inflorescence in the apical part densely many-flowered, producing flowers for a long time; peduncle ancipitous, 16-27 cm long, 0.18 cm wide; rachis laterally compressed, up to 7 cm long, across the bracts 0.85-1 cm wide, internodes 0.15 cm long. Floral bracts distichous, patent, somewhat clasping the rachis, conduplicate, strongly keeled, acute, dorsally slightly curved, 0.6-0.63 cm long. Flowers opening singly in succession, small, 1 cm long. Sepals reflexed. Median sepal oblong-subelliptic, 0.64 by 0.3 cm, at the apex shortly contracted, obtuse, convex, 3-nerved, mid-vein dorsally slightly prominent. Lateral sepals somewhat oblique, ovate, 0.7 by 0.34 cm, acute, obtusely apiculate, convex, 3-nerved, mid-rib slightly channelled near the apex, dorsally keeled. Petals erect, almost spathulate, gradually dilated towards the apex, somewhat oblique, 0.6-0.63 by 0.17 cm, obtuse, convex, 1-nerved. Lip above the base strongly reflexed, broad, on either side in the bend with a strong, erect, convex, inflated fold, at the base between the folds with a rather large, erect, transverse, slightly 3-lobulate callus which is slightly shorter than the folds, in front of this with two much smaller rounded calli, in front of the folds with recurved and constricted margins; lip when not flattened 0.5 cm long, in the apical part 0.43 cm wide, across the folds 0.34 cm wide, blade when flattened semi-elliptic-orbicular, rounded, apiculate, 0.4 cm long, 0.43 cm wide, when not flattened suborbicular, at the apex subretuse with an obtuse apiculum, convex, ciliolate, on both sides along the margins papillose-puberulous. Column short, without anther 0.2 cm long, 0.23 cm wide, on either side strongly dilated into a fleshy wing, at the base broad, truncate, towards the apex rounded-dilated, at the apex (clinandrium) contracted, in front with two parallel keels that diverge towards base, the keels obtusely angled and near the stigma provided with a vertical, triangular, dilated tooth; clinandrium suborbicular with a small longitudinal rib, apical wings obtuse. Anther cucullate, subquadrangular, slightly narrowed at the apex, truncate, at the base gibbose, 0.07 cm wide. Stigma quadrangular. Ovary pedicellate, , 6-angular-ribbed, 1 cm long.
