Epiphyte, creeping, ca, 20 cm high. Rhizome creeping, terete, with dense, clasping small sheaths. Roots filiform, flexuose, elongated, glabrous. Pseudobulbs distant (internodes 0.7 cm long), narrowly conical-oblong, about terete, glabrous, c. 1.5 by 0.5 cm at the base; 1-leaved. Leaves erect or erect-patent, narrowly linear-lanceolate, subcoriaceous, 6-9 by, 0.5-0.6 cm near the middle; base gradually narrowed; apex unequally bilobulate. Inflorescence slender, erect, terete, glabrous, 4-5 cm long, with few distant, acuminate, laxly clasping sheaths. Floral bract ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, laxly clasping the base of the pedicel, 0.4 cm long. Flowers slender, pedicellate, medium size. Median sepal ovate-oblong, acuminate, somewhat concave, glabrous, c. 1 cm long. Lateral sepals obliquely acuminate, lower margin in apical half somewhat dilated, glabrous, as long as the median one. Petals porrect-incurved, obliquely ovate, erect, 0.5 cm long; apex acuminate; upper margin concave-incurved. Lip slipper-shaped-cucullate; base narrowed; margins erect; apex ovate, obtuse, spread, 0.7 cm long, hood in the middle 0.5 cm wide. Column short; stelidia subulate, erect, two times as long as the anther; column-foot present. Anther high, helmet-shaped-cucullate, obtuse, outside covered with small warts and grooves. Colours: Flower yellow. Petals and lip dotted brown.

Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest; 1600-2600 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January, April, November, December.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
