Pseudobulbs close together, semiglobose, rounded at the base, apex truncate, longitudinally grooved, 0.4 by 0.6 cm, 1-leaved, at the base with clasping cataphylls that later split open. Leaf erect, petiolate, narrowly lanceolate, apex somewhat unequally bidentate, midrib grooved above, keeled below, somewhat fleshy, 6-7.5 by 1-1.15 cm; petiole conduplicate, 0.5-0.6 cm long; sheath petiole-shaped, laterally flattened, above the pseudobulb, 0.4-0.6 cm long. Inflorescences arising near the base of the pseudobulbs, erect, rooting at the base, laxly many-flowered; peduncle 2.5-4.5 cm long; peduncle-scales few, tubular, acute, 0.4-0.9 cm long; rachis 3.5-5 cm long. Bracts appressed, lanceolate-triangular, acute, concave, 1-nerved, 0.25-0.3 cm long. Flowers scattered, 0.35 cm wide, 0.36 cm long. Sepals and petals parallel, apices recurved. Median sepal ovate, obtuse, 1-nerved, 0.26 by 0.17 cm. Lateral sepals clasping the base of the lip, obliquely ovate, obtuse, apiculate, 1-nerved, the nerve outside prominent, 0.28 by 0.18 cm; mentum laterally flattened, obliquely rounded, 0.08 cm long. Petals obliquely deltoid, subacute, 1-nerved, 0.25 by 0.16cm. Lip attached to the tip of the column-foot, distinctly surpassing the column, clawed, 0.26 cm long; claw concave, spurred; blade slightly clawed, indistinctly 3-lobed, concave, recurved at apex, 3-nerved, inside densely puberulous, in outline triangular, 0.23 by 0.17 cm; lateral lobes triangular, obtuse, mid-lobe shortly ovate-triangular, acute, 0.13 cm long and wide; spur rather large, incurved, porrect, appressed to the blade, oblong, terete, apex rounded, to the base of the claw 0.17 cm long, equalling the column. Column very short, 0.06 cm long; clinandrium concave, minutely crenulate. Anther hood-shaped, crested, with a short recurved apicule, shorter than the rostellum; rostellum porrect, long, surpassing the clinandrium, deeply bipartite. Stigma transverse; column-foot parallel to the ovary, pointing backwards, 0.08 cm long. Ovary pedicellate, 0.23 cm long. (After Smith, 1909)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 500 to 900 m.
