Terrestrial. Stems rigid, branched, in the basal part terete, above in cross section ovate, leafy, internodes 0.4-1.9 cm long, up to 0.18-0.28 cm wide. Leaves erect-patent, lanceolate, strongly unequally obtuse, bilobed, at the base shortly contracted, rigid, fleshy, above on either side of the longitudinal groove convex, convex below, transversely rugulose, 1.7-2 cm long, 0.4-0.5 cm wide; sheaths surpassing the internodes, tubular, strongly verrucose, not ciliate, 0.28-0.3 cm wide. Inflorescence small, capitate, nodding, 6-flowered, enveloped by a very broad, acuminate, concave, glabrous, 1 cm long spathe with incurved margins, or spathe leaf-like. Floral bracts triangular, narrowly obtuse, strongly concave, glabrous, 3-nerved, 0.63 cm long, 0.4 cm wide. Flowers 0.65 cm long, 0.6 cm diam. Median sepal ovate, obtuse, shortly obtusely apiculate, strongly concave, apex recurved, 3-nerved, 0.55 cm long, 0.37 cm wide. Lateral sepals decurrent on the column-foot, at the base for 0.33 cm connate, obliquely broadly triangular, shortly acutely acuminate, apex recurved, 3-nerved, 0.45 cm long, above the base 0.38 cm wide; mentum saccate, making an acute angle with the ovary, dorsally impressed, weakly 3-lobulate, 0.4 cm long, entirely clasping the spur. Petals oblong-subobovate, obtuse, apex recurved, at the base shortly narrowed, 3-nerved, 0.5 cm long, 0.26 cm wide. Lip not clasping the column and only at the base adnate to it, weakly 3-lobed, spurred, up to the apex of the ovary 0.33 cm long, to the apex of the spur 0.4 cm long, blade separated from the spur by a transverse, fleshy, rounded, decurved lamella, lateral lobes indistinct, erect, lightly rounded, mid-lobe porrect, forming a angle rounded-right angle with the spur, subovate, obtuse, apex obtusely convex, 0.13 cm long, 0.18 cm wide; spur making a right angle with the ovary, laterally compressed, oblong, broadly obtuse, up to the apex of the ovary 0.38 cm long, 0.18 cm wide. Column making an obtuse angle with ovary, curved, club-shaped, 0.28 cm long, at the base for 0.1 cm adnate to the lip, near the base of the broadly triangular filament with an obtuse tooth, auricles triangular. Anther cucullate, suborbicular, apex retuse and membranous-marginate, connective conical thickened, about 0.1 cm long. Rostellum somewhat surpassing the auricles, large, transversely quadrangular, subretuse. Stigma semiorbicular, lower margin strongly elongated, recurved. Column-foot distinct, forming an acute angle with the ovary, 0.1 cm long. Ovary curved, 6-grooved, glabrous, 0.47 cm long. (After Smith, 1913)
