Epiphyte, slender, erect or patent, 15-30 cm high; rhizome very short, roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous; stems more or less branched, filiform, leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves erect-patent, filiform-acicular, acute, glabrous, 1.5-3 cm long, almost 0.1 cm diameter; sheaths closely appressed, nerves few (4-5), raised, apical margin ciliate with several subulate setae. Flowers solitary, glabrous. Spathe cucullate-clasping, broadly elliptic, apiculate. Floral bract hyaline, similar to but smaller than the spathe. Sepals ligulate-oblong, apiculate, 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals falcate, front margins scarcely dilated at the base. Petals oblanceolate-spathulate, subapiculate, oblique, as long as the median sepal . Lip very broadly obovate, in front broadly obtuse, 0.3 cm long, above the middle 0.35 cm wide, spur short semioblong, obtuse, less than half as long as the blade. Column short, glabrous, slightly more than half as long as the lip, glabrous, clinandrium entire, semiorbicular, apiculate. Anther very broadly cucullate, obtusely umbonate, in front ascending, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914, as Glossorhyncha diosmoides Schltr.)

Colours: Flower white, lip apex with a patch of fine grey-green dots; anther light brown.

Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1200-1300 m.

Flowering time in the wild: May, June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
