Glomera geelvinkensis J.J.Sm., Meded. Rijks-Herb. 23 (1915) 6

Type: Janowsky 396 (holo BO?; iso L)

Tiny. Stems closely spaced, branched, filiform, to 11 cm long, internodes 0.35-0.7 cm long. Leaves patent, slightly recurved, subulate, at the apex unequally narrowly obtuse, base very shortly contracted, above slightly channelled and on either side of the channel convex, underneath convex, carnose, 0.43-1.5 by 0.1-0.18 cm; sheaths as long as the internodes, tubular, angular, very sparsely minutely punctate-finely warty, at the apex sparsely appressed fimbriate. Inflorescence erect, 1-flowered. Spathe tightly enveloping the ovary and the bract, at the base tubular, above cucullate-open, shortly acuminate, laterally compressed, keeled-apiculate, glabrous, membranous, 0.53 cm. long. Floral bract more tubular and thinner textured than the spathe, apiculate, 1-nerved, 0.47 cm long. Median sepal oblong, obtuse, conical-apiculate, concave, 5-nerved, 0.9 cm long, 0.33 cm wide. Lateral sepals at the base very shortly connate and clasping the spur of the lip, obliquely oblong, slightly falcate, obtuse, with the apical margin incurved, apiculate, 5-nerved above the base, 0.8 by 0.33 cm. Petals cuneate-obovate, broadly obtuse, concave, with the apical margin subcucullate-incurved, 3-nerved, 0.75 cm by 0.35 cm. Lip shortly spurred, concave, at the apex recurved, in the basal part for 0.1 cm adnate to the column, underneath longitudinally grooved, when not flattened in total 0.4 cm long; spur shortly saccate, parallel with the ovary, broadly obtuse, slightly over 0.13 cm long, 0.17 cm wide; blade orbicular-ovate, broadly obtuse, shortly obtuse apiculate, with the margin papillose, inside with two longitudinal, oblong, papillose spots, at the base triangular-thickened, 5-nerved, 0.28 by 0.36 cm. Column in the basal part adnate to the lip, dorsally convex, 0.25 cm long, clinandrium deeply concave, transversely elliptic, at the apex broadly obtuse, with the margin slightly wavy-crenulate, inside with a longitudinal rib; auricles very small, tooth-like, shorter than the rostellum, column-foot very short. Anther cucullate, transversely elliptic, almost 0.14 cm wide, at the apex strongly recurved, rounded, in front convex, at the back concave, connective obtusely conical, fairly low. Rostellum porrect, broad, broadly retuse, above concave, underneath convex. Stigma transverse, with the margin raised and recurved. Ovary erect, above thickened and slightly curved, slightly twisted, glabrous, 0.4 cm long. (After Smith, 1915).
