Stems branched, slender, in cross-section elliptic, internodes towards the base narrower, 0.2-0.4 cm long, up to 0.15 cm wide. Leaves ovate-oblong, obtuse, unequally bilobed, above concave, with longitudinally grooved, thick fleshy. 1.1-2 cm long, 0.47-0.6 cm wide; sheaths tubular, in cross section elliptic, verrucose, apex appressed fimbriate. Inflorescence very short, 1-flowered. Floral bracts 2, inflated-tubular, verrucose, exterior one 0.65 cm long. Flower somewhat fleshy, 0.8 cm diam. Median sepal widely patent, ovate, obtuse, apiculate, convex, at the base 3-nerved, 0.53 cm long, 0.3 cm wide. Lateral sepals reflexed, obliquely ovate, slightly falcate, obtuse, long apiculate, at the base obliquely dilated concave spur in total clasping , above strongly convex, front margins not touching, at the base 3-nerved, 0.47 cm long. Petals cuneate-obovate, subobcordate, minutely apiculate, strongly convex, at the base 3-nerved, 0.47 cm long, 0.35 cm wide. Lip small, spurred, in the basal part adnate to the column, in total 0.48 cm long; spur short, large, dorsally straight, in front convex, apex broadly retuse-bilobed, 0.26 cm long, 0.18 cm wide; blade concave, apex somewhat recurved, obtuse and papillose, fleshy, at the base thickened into a prominent transverse ridge, thickened to the base, 0.17 cm long, when not flattened 0.2 cm wide. Column in the basal part adnate to the lip, 0.23 cm long, clinandrium crenulate. Anther depressed-cucullate, transversely ovate-elliptic, rounded, margin translucent, 0.13 cm wide. Pollinia 4, obovoid, outside convex, inside flat and with a longitudinal groove. Rostellum large, broad. Stigma transverse, lower margin elongated, semiorbicular, surpassing the rostellum. Ovary twisted, 6-grooved, minutely verruculose-punctate, 0.55 cm long. (After Smith, 1911)
