Rhizome branched. Pseudobulbs 0.3-0.7 cm apart, ovoid-conical, longitudinally grooved, c. 1.25-2.1 by 0.5-0.9 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf linear, very shortly apiculate-acuminate or subacute; base gradually narrowed and conduplicate; upper side obtusely angled, concave, the sides convex; underneath obtusely angled convex, fleshy-coriaceous, c. 8-9.5 by 0.5-0.87 cm. Inflorescences fascicled, 1-flowered; peduncle filiform, c. 3.2-4.6 cm long, the base with small, tubular sheaths. Floral bract tubular, acuminate, keeled, 0.35 cm long. Flower medium size. Median sepal lanceolate, subobtuse, shortly apiculate, strongly concave, 3-nerved, c. 1.1 by 0.27 cm. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong, obtuse, shortly obtusely apiculate, especially to the apex strongly concave, nerves 3 dorsally slightly prominent, c. 1.1 by 0.4 cm. Petals at the base obliquely subrhombic, upper margin irregular, lower margin obtusely triangular-dilated linear-caudate, acute, sigmoid, 1-nerved, 0.5-0.54 by 0.1 cm above the base. Lip somewhat sigmoid; base clawed-contracted with erect, towards the base dilated, merging and at the very base recurved margins, underneath strongly concave, convex with at the back 2 parallel keels, inverse boat-shaped, obtuse, strongly dilated, glabrous, in total 0.86 cm long; blade 0.65 by 0.3 cm. Column curved, to the top thin, below thickened and laterally compressed, below the stigma obtusely angled and dilated, 0.27 cm long; clinandrium large, concave, dentate, the apex broadly notched; stelidia bidentate, teeth divergent, the upper tooth acute, the lower tooth shorter, decurved, obtuse. Anther cucullate, suborbicular, slightly over 0.05 cm long; connective strongly ribbed-thickened, the apex apiculate-elongated.; stigma longitudinal, linear, the base decurrent in the thickening of the column; column-foot short, thick, triangular-callose, tuberculate, the apex projecting in a free, strongly upcurved, thin, linear-oblong, concave appendage carries the lip. Ovary 6-grooved, 0.5 cm long; pedicel c. 3.2 cm long, 0.4 cm above the base articulate. (After Smith, 1916)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest.
