Pseudobulbs close together, ovoid, with attenuate apex, longitudinally grooved, c. 1.75-2.15 by 0.65-0.85 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf lanceolate, acute; base conduplicate-contracted, coriaceous, c. 4.4-6 by 1.1-1.45 cm; petiole 0.4-0.6 cm long; midrib above grooved, keeled below. Inflorescences 1-flowered, fascicled; peduncle filiform, 4-4-5 cm long, in the basal part with a few small tubular sheaths. Floral bract tubular, shortly subulate-acuminate, above keeled, 0.4 cm long. Flower medium size. Median sepal linear-lanceolate, acute, concave, c. 1.5 by 0.25 cm; base convex; nerves 3 dorsally prominent. Lateral sepals obliquely linear-lanceolate, conical-acute, concave, c. 1.5 by 0.3 cm; margins especially to the top incurved; apex gradually narrowed; nerves 3 dorsally prominent. Petals very small, appressed to the column, 0.16 by almost 0.1 cm; base dilated; upper margin rounded, lower margin rectangularly lobed; top narrowly triangular, subobtuse, slightly falcate, 1-nerved. Lip large, mobile, sigmoid, spathulate, attached to the column-foot by a short, thin ligament, in total when not flattened slightly over 1.1 cm long, when flattened 1.2 cm long; claw distinctly curved, concave, its margins incurved, towards the base fused in incurved lobules and with a transverse lamella, 0.35 by 0.13 cm at the base; base at the back truncate, hollow, on either side with a minute, obtuse lobule, underneath a small longitudinal groove delimited with 2 lacerate keels decurrent on the blade; blade in outline lanceolate or oblong-elliptic, margins recurved, strongly convex, above and to the margins densely branched-muriculate-papillose, obtuse, 0.85 cm long, over the papillae 0.33 cm. Column strongly obtusely angled, curved, below the stigma obtusely angled, callus-like-thickened and laterally compressed, 0.28 cm long; clinandrium oblique, its margins recurved and dentate; stelidia oblong-quadrangular, with bidentate, the teeth divergent, triangular, acute; column-foot short, thick. Anther cucullate, laterally compressed; connective strongly thickened, papillose. Ovary 6-grooved, sparsely finely punctate, 0.3 cm long; pedicel c. 2 cm long, 0.35 above the base articulate. Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 350-500 m.
Flowering time in the wild: June, July, August, September, November.
