Pseudobulbs close together, obliquely ovoid-globose, longitudinally grooved. 0.8-0.9 cm long and wide. Leaf oblong-elliptic to lanceolate, very shortly acutely acuminate, apiculate, c. 5.2-7.6 by 1.6-2 cm; base narrowed and conduplicate; midrib above grooved, fleshy. Inflorescences from the nodes of the rhizome, fascicled, very short, 1-flowered; peduncle 0.35 cm long, entirely covered with small, tubular, acuminate sheaths. Floral bract tubular, subulate-acuminate, 0.26 cm long. Flower very small. Median sepal not present in the type. Lateral sepals obliquely elliptic, somewhat sigmoid, long subulate-acuminate, strongly concave, 3-nerved, 0.63 by 0.28 cm. Petals very small, appressed to the column, obliquely rhombic-lanceolate, acute, slightly falcate, 1-nerved, 0.1 cm long. Lip immobile, porrect, near the middle curved upwards with an obtuse angle, narrow, especially to the apex verrucose; underneath longitudinally grooved, fleshy, at a third below the apex constricted, 0.4 by 0.1 cm in the basal part; base truncate, slightly hollow and lower margin attached to the column-foot; hypohile(1/3 of their length),with narrow, thin margins truncate in front and back, in front rounded in mesochile decurrent base lamella transversely connected by erect concave; mesochile above and especially underneath convex-thickened; epichile subrhombic, acute; underneath slightly, above strongly convex. Column curved, in the basal part thickened, below the stigma obtuse-angled, without the anther 0.14 cm long; clinandrium concave, denticulate; stigma longitudinal, linear; column-foot short. Anther cucullate, laterally compressed; with conical apex, recurved. Ovary 6-grooved, furfuraceous-punctate, 0.26 cm long. Fruit pendulous, elongated, strongly 6-ribbed, c. 3.5 by 0.5 cm; base and apex narrowed; keels longitudinally grooved, bicostate. (After Smith, 1916)
