Rhizome elongated, creeping, terete, 0.2 cm diam., initially covered with tubular, soon disintegrating sheaths. Pseudobulbs c. 6.5-7.5 cm apart, narrow, to the apex attenuate, in cross-section subelliptic, in front obliquely 1-channelled, minutely dotted, c. 2.8 by 0.4 cm at the base; 1-leaved. Leaf ovate-lanceolate, to the apex gradually acuminate, acute, coriaceous-papery, c. 8.8 by 2.5 cm; base rounded, abruptly narrowed in a conduplicate-channelled, 0.9 cm long petiole; midrib above grooved, underneath thinly prominently; underneath minutely puncticulate. Inflorescences very laxly several-flowered, from the base of the pseudobulbs, minutely puncticulate. Inflorescence terete, c. 8.5 cm long, with c. 4 small, tubular, keeled sheaths; rachis slightly flexuose, c. 9 cm long or more long, the internodes 0.9-1.4 cm long. Floral bracts distichous, tubular, keeled, puncticulate, to 0.7 cm long. Flowers opening with intervals, medium size, outside minutely dotted, supra-axillary, 0.5-0.6 cm above the axil inserted on a cushion. Median sepal lanceolate, gradually narrowed to the apex, acute, slightly concave, 5-nerved, c. 1.63 by 0.32 cm. Lateral sepals obliquely lanceolate, subfalcate, curved upwards, subacute, concave, keeled, 5-nerved, c. 1.8 by 0.5 cm. Petals very small, obliquely oblong-triangular, gradually acuminate, acute, 0.3 by 0.13 cm; 3-nerved, the outer nerves short. Lip mobile, with a very short membranous ligament inserted near the apex of the column-foot, linear, hardly sigmoid, fleshy, indistinctly 3-lobed, above covered with conical warts that are arranged in transverse rows; in total c. 1.48 by 0.24 cm at the base; epichile slightly over 1 cm long. Column straight, 0.33 cm long, with notched apex; clinandrium concave, filament short; stelidia triangular. Anther cucullate, subelliptic, somewhat saddle-shaped, obtuse, apiculate; connective ribbed-thickened, 0.13 cm long.; rostellum truncate, underneath convex; stigma subobtriangular; column-foot making an acute, almost straight angle with the ovary, straight, the apex for a very short part free and obtusely angled incurved, 0.18 cm long. Ovary sessile, rather thick, 6-grooved, puncticulate, 0.48 cm long. (After Smith, 1916)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest.
