Glomera minutigibba J.J.Sm., Nova Guinea 14 (1929) 376, pl. 52, 32

Type: Doorman 28 (holo BO)

Stem elongated, branched, slender, subterete, rooting in the basal part, collected part 34 cm long, 0.1 cm diam., internodes up to 0.85 cm long. Leaves erect-patent, lanceolate-linear, at the base shortly petiolate-contracted, obtusely channeled above, convex below, fleshy, 1.5-2.1 cm long, 0.2 cm wide, slightly constricted below the apex, apex oblique, one side very long and obtuse, the other side very short, indistinctly tooth-like; sheaths tubular, surpassing the internodes, in cross section elliptic, in apical part somewhat prominently veined and transversely verruculose-rugulose, apex truncate, ciliate with appressed, long, crisped cilia, 0.13 cm wide. Inflorescence 1-flowered, spathe tubular, split beyond the middle, obtuse, apiculate, dorsally keeled near the apex, nerves outside somewhat prominent, furfuraceous-punctate, membranous, 0.65 cm long. Floral bract similar to the spathe but thinner, more strongly furfuraceous, 0.56 cm long. Median sepal lanceolate, obtuse, apiculate, 3-nerved, 0.8 cm long, 0.2 cm wide. Lateral sepals at the base shortly connate, obliquely lanceolate, subfalcate, obtuse, subulate-apiculate, front margin at the base shortly rounded-dilated, as long as the spur of the lip, 3-nerved, 0.7 cm long, above the base 0.2 cm wide. Petals obliquely spathulate, 3-nerved, 0.77 cm long, claw linear, 0.33 cm long, 0.1 cm wide, blade broadly elliptic, obtuse, 0.47 cm long, 0.33 cm wide. Lip shortly spurred, at the base adnate to the column, concave, indistinctly 3-lobed, recurved, 0.36 cm long, when flattened in outline rhombic, 0.45 cm long; blade making an obtuse angle with the spur, slightly surpassing the column, 0.33 cm long, when flattened broadly triangular, apex slightly contracted, narrowly obtuse, 0.33 cm long, free part 0.3 cm long, 0.33 cm wide, lateral lobes broadly rounded, mid-lobe triangular; spur pointing backwards, making an acute angle with the ovary, apex recurved, in front convex, dorsally concave, obtuse, 0.18 cm long, much shorter than the ovary. Column in basal half adnate to the lip, obtusely curved, apex recurved so the whole is sigmoid, dorsally convex, 0.2 cm long, clinandrium deeply hollow, triangular, dorsal margin triangular, finely erose, auricles triangular. Anther cucullate, 0.1 cm wide, at the base truncate, in outline orbicular-ovate, apex produced into a conspicuous, obtusely and weakly recurved, broadly triangular, obtuse appendage, thecae convex, separated by a small channel, connective tall but very narrowly gibbose, dorsally channeled. Pollinia 4, obovate, outside convex, inside flat with a longitudinal groove. Rostellum broadly truncate. Stigma prominent, lower margin elongated, recurved, orbicular. Ovary 3-grooved, glabrous, 0.53 cm long. (After Smith, 1929)
