Glomera pleiotricha J.J.Sm., Nova Guinea 14 (1929) 377, pl. 53, 33

Type: Doorman 26 (holo BO)

Stem branched, slender, collected part 5.5 cm long, internodes 2.1 cm long. Leaves linear-lanceolate, gradually narrowed towards the apex, at 0.27-1.25 cm below apex sometimes on one side abruptly slightly dilated then narrowed again, strongly obliquely narrowly obtuse, at the base shortly petiolate-contracted, above on either side of the median groove longitudinally convex and subrugulose, below convex and sparsely impressed punctate, fleshy, 1.4-3.9 cm long, 0.23-0.37 cm wide; sheaths surpassing the internodes, tubular, laterally compressed, in cross section elliptic, not keeled, longitudinally with slightly raised ribs, apically especially in front somewhat verruculose, at apex opposite the blade with a small lobe, fimbriate with many appressed pale cilia, up to 0.17 cm wide. Flower 1.2 cm long. Median sepal narrowly oblong, shortly acute, shortly obtusely apiculate, flat, 3-nerved, 1 cm long, 0.35 cm wide. Lateral sepals narrowly oblong, somewhat falcate, obtuse, obtusely verruculose-apiculate, front margin at the base dilated into a shortly rounded concave lobe that is appressed to and as long as the spur, shortly connate, concave, 3-nerved, 0.9 cm long, along front margin 0.95 cm long, 0.3 cm wide, across the basal lobe 0.4 cm wide. Petals obliquely spathulate, from the oblong claw gradually dilated into a broadly elliptic, obtuse blade, concave, 3-nerved, about 1 cm long, claw 0.28 cm long, 0.17 cm wide, blade 0.73 cm long, about 0.5 cm wide. Lip short spurred, in total 0.66 cm long; blade much surpassing the column, porrect, at the base shortly adnate to the column, margins erect, strongly concave, thickened, 7-nerved, to the apex of the ovary about 0.5 cm long, when flattened in outline 5-angled-suborbicular, apex obtusely triangular-acuminate, with a small, longitudinally convex, verruculose rib, 0.43 cm long, free part 0.33 cm long, about 0.4 cm wide; spur tightly appressed to and clearly shorter than the ovary, conical-cylindrical, broadly obtuse, dorsally channeled, 0.28 cm long. Column very short, somewhat curved, apex recurved, dorsally narrowly convex and weakly ribbed, 0.24 cm long, in the basal part adnate to the lip, clinandrium deeply hollow, triangular, dorsal margin triangular, dentate, auricles tooth-like. Ovary 3-grooved, glabrous, 0.63 cm long. (After Smith, 1929)
