Stems branched, slender, in cross section elliptic, 0.08 cm wide, internodes 1.1-1.3 cm long. Leaves erect-patent, subulate, subterete, gradually narrowed towards the apex, acute, at the base subpetiolate, longitudinally grooved above, fleshy, 2.5-5.2 cm long, 0.17 cm wide; sheaths tubular, in cross section elliptic, longitudinally ribbed-veined, somewhat rugulose-verrucose, apex ciliate with straight, appressed, caducous appendages. Inflorescence very short, 1-flowered. Floral bracts 2, clasping the ovary, broad, membranous, obtuse, apiculate, verruculose, 0.65 cm long, inner one smaller and thinner. Flower widely opening, 1.1 cm wide. Median sepal oblong, obtuse, conical-apiculate, convex, at the base 3-nerved, 0.65 cm long, 0.28 cm wide. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-triangular, somewhat falcate, obtuse, conical-apiculate, at the base obliquely dilated and connate, clasping the whole spur, front margin completely free, 3-nerved at the base, 0.6 cm long, 0.28 cm wide. Petals somewhat obliquely oblong, slightly obovate, rounded, 3-nerved at the base, 0.64 cm long, 0.28 cm wide. Lip at the base adnate to the column, spurred, in total about 0.5 cm long; spur appressed to the ovary, oblong, dorsally compressed, obtuse, subretuse, 0.35 cm long; blade concave, apex recurved, papillose-ciliolate, 7-nerved, fleshy, when flattened transversely ovate-elliptic, indistinctly 3-lobed, broadly obtuse, 0.15 cm long, 0.3 cm wide. Column in the basal part adnate to the lip, somewhat curved, 0.18 cm long, clinandrium concave crenulate. Anther cucullate, orbicular, apex rounded, somewhat recurved, 0.13 cm wide. Pollinia 4, pyriform. Rostellum porrect, large, truncate. Stigma semiorbicular, lower margin elongated, recurved. Ovary curved, somewhat grooved, 0.65 cm long. (After Smith, 1911)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest. Altitude 0 m.

Flowering time in the wild: October.
